For the next six centuries, the citadel was the primary reliable protection of the Arsacid dynasty, and from time to time the capital of Parthia (under the name "Mihridatkirt", in honor of king Mithridates I). After the Sassanids came to power, the city began to decline. In the Middle ages, Nisa was revived as a trading center on the Silk Road. Then you will continue your tour and visit the Ertugrul Gazi mosque. The mosque is named after Osman I Gazi – the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire who conquered the entire West of Asia Minor. The structure cannot but surprise, because it harmoniously intertwines Islamic and Byzantine architecture. It is similar in appearance to the Blue mosque located in Istanbul. Lunch time. During the tour you will explore carpet museum where you can see the collection of carpets of different periods. Then you will discover carpet museum drive to the Russian market. Day 5: Ashgabat
Today you will come to Ashgabat by train. After you will transfer to the horse farm. In this farm you will explore the charming Akhal-Teke Horses. The image of the Akhal-Teke is very thin, and it does not fit into the generally accepted perception of horses. On the other hand, it impresses with a charmingly unusual, noble beauty: it seems as if all the Akhal-Teke people were specially cut from the sides. But indeed, these refined forms were polished for two or three millennia, because the Akhal-Teke people are one of the oldest breeds. The Akhal-Teke breed of horses impresses with its elegance, lean exterior, thin bone and nobility of its posture. In combination with a magnificent, Golden-tinged color, these qualities make Akhal-Teke horses one of the most beautiful creatures on our planet. In the Gokdepe village explore the Gokdepe fortress, which was built in 1869. Geokdepe is a significant place that has played a significant role in the history of Turkmenistan. It became the last Bastion on the way of Tsarist Russia in the conquest of Central Asia. You will return to the city. After the lunch see the Cultural and entertainment center Alem.
